Our hippo therapy center was featured on our local Fox News Affiliate.

This is one of those moments when my heart is shredded.

My eight year old son, being taught by his baby brother.

Just over two years ago, Seth had no value - he was deemed a plant - unable to engage with the world around him. LIE!!!!!

Noah LOVES his brother. He wants to teach him. My sweet baby boy, playing with us brother. TRUTH!!!

The world will tell you adopting a child with special needs will ruin your other kids. LIE!!!

Life will show you how your typical children will accept and the be part of that child thriving!  TRUTH!!!!

Remember these pictures from my last post?
We really have a lot of books and the kids love to read.  We do a terrible job getting the books back into the "correct" tubs.
A friend posted a link to a blog post about home library organization using Library Labels - it seemed like a great idea.  Use my current organizing system adding a color code to the books and bins.
I'm surprised I made it through.  I really wanted to give up.  This project probably took 25 hours to get it to the point it is at now.  It was gruesome!  I was frozen as to how to label the general picture books .. the ones that are just twaddle reading ... In the end I called them either animal picture books or just picture books.  I wish I could have done better - but it hurt my brain.  LOL
  I started printing ...
The we started sorting and sorting and sorting and sorting
Then the labeling started
And onto the shelves ...
Close up of the bin labels
Close up of bins in the cubbies  ... I really like this cubby system better than the bins, so I am pondering an Ikea Expedit Shelving Unit.  Craigslist stalking to begin!

I told the kids if they really helped we would have banana splits.  We had them two nights in a row!
