How can you love a child you have never met in person?

I mean really, the questions some people ask.

Christians at that ...

...........How can you love a child you have never met in person?.............  Really >>>> ????? >>>>

So, I ask you ...

How can you love a God you have never met in person?

Do you love Him only for what He has done for you or do you love Him because that is what you are called to do?

Do you love Him because you want to serve Him or only love Him because He sent His Son to save you?

I understand doubt and cynicism from unbelievers, but I am dumbfounded at what comes from believers.

Tonight, it is my prayer that hearts will be changed in the name of Jesus.

Psalm 68 4 Sing to God, sing in praise of his name,
   extol him who rides on the clouds[b];
   rejoice before him—his name is the LORD.
5 A father to the fatherless, a defender of widows,
   is God in his holy dwelling.
6 God sets the lonely in families,[c]
   he leads out the prisoners with singing;
   but the rebellious live in a sun-scorched land.

  1. I understand so very well unfortunately. It saddens me that Christians just don't get it either. Each child was made by God and getting to love them is a gift and blessing. After God gave His Son to die in order to adopt us, you'd think that Christians would have a little better understanding of adoption and LOVE. Hang in there!

  2. It breaks my heart, too, when fellow Christians fail to understand.
