THE BOOK HOT MESS!!!

We really have a lot of books and the kids love to read.  We do a terrible job getting the books back into the "correct" tubs.

 

 

A friend posted a link to a blog post about home library organization using Library Labels - it seemed like a great idea.  Use my current organizing system adding a color code to the books and bins.

 I'm surprised I made it through.  I really wanted to give up.  This project probably took 25 hours to get it to the point it is at now.  It was gruesome!  I was frozen as to how to label the general picture books .. the ones that are just twaddle reading ... In the end I called them either animal picture books or just picture books.  I wish I could have done better - but it hurt my brain.  LOL

Close up of bins in the cubbies  ... I really like this cubby system better than the bins, so I am pondering an Ikea Expedit Shelving Unit.  Craigslist stalking to begin! 

 

I told the kids if they really helped we would have banana splits.  We had them two nights in a row!
